Welcome to hrHost.com, the home page for Bishop Associates Incorporated, an independent Canadian benefit software company, established in 1981. Our core application, pabas.net, is pure Java. We are using the most recent version of the Java 2 platform and the JFC Swing API for a high quality 2D graphical user interface (gui). The system modules include our Rapid Application Development Tool (.net designer), group benefits administration, pension administration, health, disability and dental claims adjudication. If you want to access the guest programs or the claims demo you MUST be using the most recent Java JRE, Version 1.6 (sometimes known as 6.0 or Mustang). The integrated report designer gives plan administrators the ability to create and view their own reports over the web. Version 6.0 is our new, secure, Internet based application, that facilitates the electronic transmission of benefit claims and enrollment data, in a manner that provides significant benefits to the insured end user or plan administrator. Our new stand alone Java eClaims module adjudicates claims directly with the provider, and eliminates all network transaction fees normally associated with pay-direct drug or dental claims. Pabas.net provides quick access to premium and claim files for online viewing of any claim or invoice. Employees may view their own benefit and claims information, and update name, address, and dependent data from home. They may also see specific plan details by reading their own personalized online booklet. Our .net designer for Java is the new and complete visual development tool for building and managing mission critical pure Java applications. With all the power and functional richness that professionals will appreciate and the context sensitive tools to help novices get up to speed fast, this is the Java tool that makes development so much easier. The "employee guest" , "employer guest" or ".net designer" links are actual working Java applications. However, you will need the latest Java plug-in for your browser, JRE 6.0, which can be obtained from the Sun Java Plug-in page. company profileBishop Associates Incorporated, was founded in 1981 as a third-party administrator for self-insured benefit plans. We developed our systems in-house, and now make these programs available to other benefit practitioners and administrators. We are also established as an Application Service Provider (ASP), and allow access to the system over a fully secured DSL line to our server. Companies not quite ready to license the full system, could elect this service where costs are based on the number of monthly transactions. A portion of these fees could be used or allocated towards eventual purchase of a full system license.
